What is kefir?

First of all, kefir is a drink with a high calcium content. This is especially good for those with lactose intolerance. In a study published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, researchers found people with lactose intolerance had no adverse reaction after drinking kefir.

One glass of kefir can give you 20 percent of your daily calcium requirement, with only 90 calories. This is different from yogurt that contains 150 calories. In protein content, kefir is also better – one glass of kefir contains 6 grams of protein.

Because of its lower caloric content, Kefir is more powerful to make you slim than yogurt.
