As we know that not all bacteria are bad. Some bacteria, such as probiotic bacteria that exist in yogurt can facilitate digestion and make slim, to repel acne.
Although yoghurt has been considered a super hero probiotics, now there is a new probiotic hero – more precisely known again that you should know.
Get acquainted with kefir, similar to yogurt with more powerful probiotic strength and bacteria.
What is kefir?
Like yogurt, these foods are full of good probiotic bacteria. But unlike yogurt, kefir is not made by way of heated. Instead, you can turn any milk into kefir (milk from both animals and nuts). You can even turn water into kefir by using kefir seeds.
Kefir seeds are not actually grains, but more like cheese-like clumps made from bacteria and fungi that ferment kefir. Although it sounds disgusting, but it really is not at all.
The end result of kefir is a soft liquid with perfect consistency to be mixed into your smoothies, or cream cake. Kefir can also be drunk directly. Depending on what kind of kefir you are using, it can vary. Starting from very mild to very bitter.
What are the nutrients in it?
First of all, kefir is a drink with a high calcium content. This is especially good for those with lactose intolerance. In a study published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, researchers found people with lactose intolerance had no adverse reaction after drinking kefir.
One glass of kefir can give you 20 percent of your daily calcium requirement, with only 90 calories. This is different from yogurt that contains 150 calories. In protein content, kefir is also better – one glass of kefir contains 6 grams of protein.
Because of its lower caloric content, Kefir is more powerful to make you slim than yogurt.
